Early education and medical training
After schooling and pre-university studies in Bangalore. completed MBBS from Government Medical College, Bellary (now VIMS Bellary). Did my post graduation in Pediatrics from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore (MD), and National Board of Examinations, New Delhi (DNB).
Work experience
Practicing in Bangalore as a consultant Pediatrician for the last 30 years. Started Gurukripa Clinic at 1st floor, PP Complex, New BEL Road in 1993, and was consulting there till Feb 2018. We have since moved to a bigger and better premise in the opposite building at 2nd Floor, Bagaria Complex, (above Union Bank of India), New Bel Road. Bangalore - 560094.

Family
Married to Dr. Prathima Kini, a graduate of Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore and post graduation in Pathology from Bangalore Medical College. She has been running Naveen Diagnostic Laboratory since 1993, located in the same premise. She is also a certified consultant in Lifestyle Medicine, board certified by the International School of Lifestyle Medicine (ISLM)
